Participants, including staff, various professionals, and volunteers will be better able to:
- Use information & evidence from modern research in laughter science, Positive Psychology, peurosciences, and knowledge of ancient practices, in clinical, consulting, educational, and volunteer work.
- Help their clients, patients, residents, students, employees, friends & neighbors to choose and modify their life and work in healthy directions.
- Identify factors, especially the attitudes and emotions that improve health and increase happiness & life satisfaction.

Steve Wilson, MA, CSP
, licensed psychologist, author, professional speaker, humor educator, founder of World Laughter Tour. Known internationally as “The Joyologist”, Steve has been a mental health professional and educator for more than forty years. He founded the World Laughter Tour, with the mission of leading the world to health, happiness and peace through laughter.
HELEN BZDEL, BA, MSW, RSW(SK), DVATI
, Helen Bzdel has both a Master and Bachelor degree in Social Work, an Advanced Certificate in Art Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree. Helen is a Certified Laughter Leader – Expert Level Practitioner and was previously the Canadian trainer for the World Laughter Tour. Helen is also a Certified Zentangle Teacher.
She has over twenty-five years of experience in working with children, adolescents and adults of various ethnicities and cultures. These clients have often been in crisis, whether in the community, or in youth and adult correctional facilities. Helen has extensive experience facilitating groups. She is registered with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW) as a Registered Social Worker and is also on the SASW Private Practice Registry, as well as a Professional member of CATA (Canadian Art Therapy Association).
Helen obtained her certificate in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy in February, 2010. Helen holds certificates in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM): Individual Crisis Intervention, and Peer Support and Critical Incident Stress Management: Group Crisis Intervention. She is a graduate of the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute’s eighteen-month distance post-graduate program on Granville Island in Vancouver, British Columbia. Helen also holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Sociology, and a Master of Social Work.
Dianne Fidelibus, LPC, LICDC, CLL-E.
Dianne teaches “Therapeutic Laughter” at Columbus State Community College (Ohio). This is a unique 30-hour college-credit course elective for students in the Health & Human Services programs.
Deborah Harbinson, MHI, RN, HNB-BC, CLL-E.
A board-certified holistic nurse with a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Innovation from Arizona State University, Debbie has more than 30 years’ experience in the operating room, Parish nursing, home health care, and geriatric care management. She is passionate about teaching modalities that translate the innate wisdom of our mind, body, and spirit to the support and wellness of others. She is a Master Trainer for the World Laughter Tour workshops on Therapeutic Laughter and Humor.
Charles “Chip” Lutz, MSEd, CLL-E.
Chip is the C.L.O. (Chief Laughing Officer) and founder of Funsquad, Inc. and has 22 years leadership experience. A retired Navy Officer, he held key leadership positions. He prides himself on keeping it “light” while getting the job done. A seasoned educator and trainer, he has taught over 20 different classes in leadership, management, human resource development, and organizational behavior. He is the 2007 recipient of the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humors essay contest for Humor in the Workplace.
Jim “Scotty” Scott, MA, Colonel (Retired), CLL-E.
Scotty is the past Executive Director of the Yellow Ribbon Program and Director of Individual, Family Readiness & Family Support Policy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs (Manpower and Personnel), Pentagon, Washington DC. He was selected to serve as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of Missouri Columbia. In 1997 he was selected to work for the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs where he served until his retirement. He loves sharing the joys and benefits of laughter with anyone who will listen, but especially the military members, their families and their supporters.
Susan Stewart, RN, MA, CLL-E.
Susan is an accomplished holistic Health Promotion Educator, speaker, and trainer. A graduate of Mt. Carmel School of Nursing and The Ohio State University, her targeted and innovative health education programs have been recognized by the American Cancer Society of Central Ohio and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAPHRD). Susan is a Master Trainer with World Laughter Tour. She has a special interest in the application of music and movement for health and well-being, encouraging people to “Get in your feel-good groove – yagotta laugh, yagotta move!”
Julie Ann Sullivan
works with organizations that want to create a workplace environment where people are productive engaged and appreciated. She believes when people are shown new perspectives, they have a better attitude towards work and life. Julie Ann knows the power of laughter too, as common thread that connects all levels of any business. Julie Ann Sullivan has a diverse educational background which includes a BA in Psychology and an MBA in Accounting. She spent decades involved in the financial services industry, including the CPA designation. Now speaking full time, she is a professional member of the National Speakers Association, World Laughter Tour, Inc. and the Association of Applied and Therapeutic Humor. She continues her education in areas of Laughter, Positive Psychology and other strategic techniques for creating a more successful life.
