This is my story, a story that starts in a small village in Lebanon and ends in a wealthy suburb in Michigan. It’s the in-betweens that have molded me into the woman I am today. Because through it all—a strict, sometimes abusive father, a delicate, loving mother, five siblings with five distinct personalities, and a journey that started in Lebanon and carried over to the United States—I never complained. I never stopped moving. With my hands and feet planted firmly on the ground, I applied the only motion that has ever felt comfortable to me. I crawled as hard as I could.
