GOALS OF THE
HOST-SITE PARTNER PROGRAM
Make
Certified Laughter Leader training accessible to the widest
possible audience at the best possible prices;
Keep costs down without sacrificing quality;
Increase awareness of the benefits of laughter, humor and mirth
by giving our host sites significant public relations benefits
as they bring innovative programs to their constituents and
communities.
EVOLUTION
Originally, all of our
workshops were self-produced and conducted in hotel meeting
rooms. Over time, hospitals and colleges began inviting us to
conduct our training on site at their facilities. That turns
out to be very convenient and economical for the host
staff to take the training, and saves us money. We
pass the savings back to our hosts in the form of tuition
waivers. Normally, there is terrific PR value for the
host, and goodwill in their community, too. A winning
arrangement for all of us.
The Host-Site Partner
arrangement evolved out of the natural confluence of the shared
visions and needs of a broad spectrum of health and education
facilities whose philosophies and values are open to mind-body
programming. Hosts are willing -even excited- to be on the
cutting-edge of interventions, programming and research in
complementary and integrative approaches. They maintain high
standards and achieve a competitive advantage while
delivering innovative programs. And, they embrace the spirit
of the joy of living.
The heart of the arrangement
is mutual respect, common goals, and a belief
in the proven power of attitudes and emotions (like laughter
and humor) in health & healing, and morale & productivity.
You have the convenience of local workshop training, no money
changes hands, and all parties benefit from the relationship.
The pleasant
discovery of how much we have in common has led our host
facilities and many of their staff to become our good friends. A
real bonus! We hope you will become a friend, too.
Of course, references are
available upon request. We will be happy to provide you with
contact information for our previous Host-Site Partners and/or
any of our Certified Laughter Leaders.

Arrangements for 2-day Certified Laughter Leader (CLL) Training
WLT does the lion’s share of
promotion & marketing utilizing a mix of strategies:
listing them in the online training schedule; enabling
convenient registration by mail, phone, fax, and online;
promotion in our electronic newsletter; advertising in trade
publications; direct mail.
WLT handles virtually every
administrative detail
of registration, preparing & shipping materials, providing the
faculty, answering inquiries, sending confirmation letters &
e-mail, and all follow-up after the workshop.
We communicate and coordinate
with your designated workshop liaison
all the necessary information on matters of room setup,
refreshments, lunches, and A-V needs.
We work hand-in-hand with your
marketing/PR department
to be sure you have the
information and ideas you need to maximize your positive PR
exposure.
Types of Workshops
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES
Participants will be better able to:
1. Use information from modern Gelotology (laughter
science) research, Positive Psychology findings, and
knowledge of ancient practices, in clinical work.
2. Help their clients use life energies to choose and
modify their life and work directions.
3. Identify factors that improve health and increase happiness &
life satisfaction for their clients.
Public
Workshop – Open to the public
With this
option your workshop is open to enrollment from your staff as
well as the general public just as if we were producing the
workshop on our own. Students will come from different interests
and occupations, lay-persons and professionals. Often, students
will come from all over North America and around the world. This
international flavor broadens our horizons, strengthens our
vision of contributing to a better world, and makes for
interesting workshops.
Private Workshop – Limited to the constituents of the host,
e.g., employees, invited attendees
“Private” means
that the host site will fill at least 15 seats (the minimum).
More students make for a more effective learning environment.
The maximum class size is 35. These
students can be employees or anyone the host chooses to invite
or notify about the workshop.
Additional cost savings are possible for the hosts of private
workshops.
Normally, the host develops a simple promotional strategy for
their workshop, such as internal e-mail, employee publications,
and flyers. Because all students will come from the ranks of the
host employees and friends, WLT does not advertise or promote a
private workshop. We will work closely with you to contribute
advice on any aspect of workshop development.
Combined Workshop – Open to the public but reserves a
specified number of places for constituents of the host
